Transformers Optimus Prime by Sean Gordon Murphy
The end of 2023 was kinda rough for me. One of the comics that got me through was Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers, which captures the incredible action and heart that DWJ brings to his projects, it also got me going back and rediscovering Transformers as a whole. Which prior to that I was mainly familiar with due to the Michael Bay movies. My deep dive has had me exploring the IDW comics, Transformers Prime Animated Series and more.
I love Sean’s White Knight Universe, each series has improved on the previous. I particularly enjoyed Curse of the White Knight. Murphy is an incredible artist and burgeoning writer. While many well-deserved accolades are given to his vehicle design his character design is equally impressive. At Comic Art Fans Inaugural OAX Sean Gordon Murphy was a guest and was offering a chance for remarks, which to call these Remarks is a MASSIVE understatement I thought Sean would have some fun drawing Optimus Prime and I would have a blast watching him draw Optimus Prime. Watching Sean build his illustrations is really something that needs to be seen to be believed, Watching his technique in person was really something

I heard about Sean's upgraded remarques afterwards, so congrats on getting a trio of them! Love his take on Optimus here, and the use of colors really takes it up a notch.
