Description

Discovering Maxi�s art leading up to OAX was an unexpected highlight of prepping for the show. I love the emotions that his slice of life pieces give off. I contacted Mark Hay from Splash Page Comic Art to set this one up a few days before the show and I had a scan of the completed piece the next day!

Request was for Gunslinger in an old saloon & Maxi did the rest! Really dig the choices he made. His brushwork fits wonderfully in an old west setting! Love seeing the shock and confusion on the face of the barkeep.

I�m really excited to see where Maxi�s career goes because there is an undeniable charm in what he is creating! Comics needs more of this!

Such a versatile talent when you look at this and the other piece posted today. This one is more moody and atmospheric with heavy brush. I can hear the spurs, but only it's his chains, as he walks away.

I love how his style works perfectly in a western setting!
