Description

This is an Arthur Adams unpublished Dr. Strange Pin-up that he dated as being created on November of 1983. Thought this might have been created as a pin up piece for Dr. Strange Classics which ran for 4 issues in 1984. These books featured reprints of old Dr. Strange comics and included new pin-ups from various artists. When I met with Art Adams and showed him the piece he said it hadn't been created for any specific book and had never been published anywhere. My best friend bought this piece from our old LCS and then about 20 years ago I bought it from her.

Dark and mystical! Arthur Adams' style can convey so many moods beyond the typical superhero fare and this is a great demonstration of it!

Wow this is awesome and so interesting! Definitely seems influenced by the black and white Doctor Strange portfolio by Michael Golden--particularly in the use of shadow and all that black ink!

Was wondering where this one had gone. Haven't seen it since 1989. I knew two of the previous owners. So cool to see it resurface on CAF after all these years.
