I'm sure those compression socks aren't helping his sleep! Great example of what made Excalibur so special.
Nice lighthouse and Nightcrawler images! Looks like Davis was trying to do his best imitation of the classic Liefeld Captain America drawing on the last panel. Perhaps a little photo ref would've helped. Or maybe Jerome K. Moore could've taught given him some tips? Either way, nicely drawn, early page!
Great page!
As long as he aims downwind I'm sure he will be fine.
It's all Nightcrawler's fault! Pretty cool how the team dynamic and tension naturally develops!
Issue 3... my favourite, congratulations.
It's a great example of the lighthearted tone of this series compared to Claremont's ultra-serious simultaneous work on Uncanny X-Men. Those tissues aren't going to do too well with wet tub hands.
A fun example of the pages that made these characters so well roundered during this run!
Gorgeous Davis/Neary artwork but also SUCH a classic Chris Claremont example--character dynamics all over the page, the humanity of the X-characters back then was one of the reasons that readers fell so madly in love with all of them. Great stuff!
Nice early Excalibur , Davis's storytelling is impeccable and Neary's inks are perfect . Well done !
