Art is by Dick Tracy creator Chester Gould (1900-1985) and was for June 19, 1977 daily strip. Art shows Tracy in the aftermath of a shootout, finding gun only to discover that it misfired when pointed directly at Tracy's head due to the ammunition being 50 years old. Tracy (sporting a mustache) appears in eight panels (two in shadow). Last panel features "Crimestoppers Textbook" tip regarding preparation during blackouts. Chicago Tribune copyright strip pasted between this and previous panel. Title stat has partial hand-inked section where oval was clipped out. Inked dates at top left and bottom right margins. Top margin has many staple holes w/additional staple holes along margins, but art remains clean and Exc.
