001 George Perez Hal Jordan Green Lantern SDCC 2001

first page of my sketchbook is this but it wasn't the first sketch i got - i had it reseved for someone special. when i saw George Perez was sketching i waited hours in line only to be told there wasn't enough time for him to get to it BUT they gave me a ticket and told me to go back first thing the next day. i did and when he got to me he asked what i wanted. i said "Green Lantern". he asked which one, Hal, John, Kyle, Guy, etc. "Hal Jordan!" i replied. He then asked with or without the temples? holy smokes, talk about an artist that is doing whatever the fan (who paid nothing) wants!! i had to have him explain what temples were. Man, George was the best. When i returned home from that trip I immediately went online and signed up for a commission from him.......
