I absolutely love this cover! That's unexpected.
Just so we're all sure, James, you ARE aware that this is not Ka-Zar in the Savage Land and Magneto and Rogue aren't hiding down beneath those clouds, right? 😜
Oh in that case I hate it!
Who says it is not?? Let him think it's whatever he think it is! As long as he likes it! ;)
Just ignore Ruben, James! If you want it to be Kazar, it is!! ;)
Oh, stop being so desperate for love! James may be a hardcore X-Lover, but he DOES have more depth to his interests than that and I promise you, Alberto, he's very well aware he's looking at Tarzan!
Yeah, a lot more depth... Did you see his Pip the Troll pinup?
Stands on it's own and comic art and illustration art. Really pretty piece.
Beautiful cover! Really cool to see those roughs/prelims too.
A lovely cover indeed! By the way, my dad was also a big fan of the Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movies. What up with Spaniard fathers of a certain era?
Hah, that's interesting and funny at the same time! That Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan scream is legendary!!!
I love a good tree!
Very pretty work by Haeser. The way he draws the sunset allows for that beautiful color hold orange and yellow glow. The prelims all look great.
Gorgeous! So happy it's in your collection Alberto! Glad you enjoyed all of the prelims as well! Thank you for being so integral to the ocmmunity!
Handsome Lord of the Jungle cover by Ken Haeser! It's such an idyllic image, with Tarzan watching the sunset from his perch on a tree branch. I love the contrats of the silhouette against the deep reds and yellows of sunset. I love how the clumps of thick moss on the tree branch echo the shapes of the clouds on the horizon. it's also cool how the silhouetted branches, roots and leaves serve to frame the bottom half of the cover. Gorgeous work by Haeser! Wonderful pick-up, congrats!
Love this piece...I remeber the show when u got this and I kick myself for not claiming it....great addition to your awesome collection!
