DescriptionI was one of the people that stood up and took notice of the first Maxi Dallo I saw on CAF. It was Spidey on the wall eating a sandwich, and immediately I saw the DWJ influence, but with a more whimsical approach and style. This piece is such a warm and wholesome scene of Peter and Mary Jane. The ink wash and brush work add tons of volume, and the rest of the inks really play to Dallo’s style. When this piece was up for auction at OAX, I knew I wanted to add it to my collection. After some fun bidding action (sorry Bill!) I added this beauty to my collection. Social/Sharing |

This is a nice one, for sure! Considered bidding a sec myself but glad ot see it here on CAF and in your collection, man. A calm and loving moment between the 2. Congrats!

Way to work that paddle! I've been seeing a lot of Maxi's SPidey recently, but this is one of my favorites. Congrats!

Love this- hope you saw the colors Maxi posted on IG yesterday! Added a nice dimension to the piece, though the b&w is lovely on its own.

Gorgeous piece capturing a heartwarming scene between Spidey & MJ. Maxi can pull off the emotion thing as well and he does it wonderfully here. The full city background only adds to the feels. Glad to see you win this at the auction!

Great theme by Dallo! Spidey and MJ may be small in scale in relation to the city backdrop, but the emotional core of their story lights up the whole piece.

Such an undeniable charm to his work! Seeing this piece in the auction preview along with a nudge from a friend, I ended up setting up some pieces with Maxi at OAX & I'm thrilled that I did! Congrats on this one!!

Gorgeous Maxi Dallo commission! I love this drawing of Spidey and MJ snuggling together on a rooftop. I agree with you that there's a bit of a DWJ vibe to Maxi's style, but there's a lot more to his work than that. Love Maxi's fluid brush style, the way he manages to add lots of detail without getting overly detailed, if you know what I mean. Seeing Manhattan from this angle is lovely--So great that he managed to get the Empire State Building in! Spidey and MJ are drawn in a slightly more cartoony style than we're used to seeing, but I like it. Maxi captures both characters' personalities perfectly. What more can I say except I really want to get my own Maxi commission now!

I totally agree - it's a combination of many things that really bring the life to this piece. Truly a favorite of mine.
