Description

This is among my favorite time period of John Byrne's art during the mid to late 1970's! A lot of drawings from John's personal sketchbooks were published in the Art of John Byrne Book! Even though these images were not published in that book I still love the time period of art and the attention to detail that John put into these drawings!

This one features a redesign of Starlord's costume that was not published and a drawing of the Incredible Hulk from around the same time period as The Incredible Hulk Annual #7 that was penciled by Byrne. The Starlord costume is reminiscent of NorthStar's outfit. There is also a second drawing of the Hulk on the back of the page!

Classic Byrne anatomy and facial structures that was his calling card to set himself apart from everyone else!

There's just something about 70's Byrne. It's so raw, but it's also so pure. Fun stuff.
