John Thornton Flamingo Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-14-52 (Phoenix Features, 1952). "Flamingo" tells of a heroic gypsy woman whose interactions with polite civilization lead to adventure, disaster, and occasional enlightenment. Created in ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 5". There is mild toning in the margins, production whiteout marks, and light smudging.
