Mage poster art, the Hollow Ones by Michael Kaluta

The attention to details and the colors are classic Kaluta.  The mirror and the cat draw you into the picture.

Incredible piece by Kaluta. You have a great eye.

Kaluta's design to the piece is tremendous.  There is a top and bottom split in the colors and a balance within just the center column.  It opens up the composition to show off his skills as an illustrator pouring detail into every channel and every part of the altar.

I love how he balances the piece with contrasting colors, the clever use of both the cat and the mirror, and the plethora of both material and immaterial clutter.

Outstanding poster art by Michael Kaluta! What a magical image Kaluta has drawn, with a Mage of some sort holding up a mirror that reflects her face. Atop the mirror is a cat, somehow balanced on its edge. All around the Mage are unlit candles and a mishmash of books and uneaten food and various other random items like Tarot cards and a half-eaten candy box as well as a yo-yo, a fish, a wind-up monkey toy, a key, and a lizard. Kaluta offers up a whimsical cornucopia of magical mayhem for our amusement. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

Beautiful Kaluta, and that's saying something.  Love the delicate lines, the muted tones and that cat!!
