DescriptionThe prolific English Writer John Creasey should have been a pulp writer given the large amount of books he produce in his lifetime including some series like the Toff even under his name. Jack Thurston produced an equally large output of paperback paintings- many only twice the size that they were printed. This is from Terror for the Toff from the late 1960's.Social/Sharing |

What is interesting is that Thurston during this period worked really small. This is maybe twice up from the published paperback size. I have two pieces from him from this period and both are small. Overall he is one of those really good painters who is sadly largely ignored and undervalued given the level of his skill- and unknown to many collectors. Joe if you are ever near Madison Wi - stop by and I 'l lshow yo ua few other things Best George
