Description

Origin story of Midnight!

In 2022, David Peterson released a story titled 'King, Knight, Fool, Villain' as part of an online Con. It is a morality tale that deals with the notions of curses, fortune telling, and choosing your own destiny. It’s one, in a long line of short tales he’s used to expand his Mouse Guard universe.

David did an online reading of this story during Onlinecon (from 03:05:55).

At the same time he released the story, he also released an accompanying deck of 37 Soothsayer Bone Cards (from the story) for fortune telling a mouse's future.

He is great at making his art world come alive!

Update: The story King, Knight, Fool, Villain by David Petersen was published this year in the Free Comic Book Day 2025 BOOM! Studios 20th Anniversary Special Edition.
