DescriptionDay 16. Thirty-One days of Star Wars (2024 edition) continues!Today is the Attack of the Clones 22nd anniversary, released May 16, 2002. The square root of 16 is 4, so might as well post up four Star Wars: Republic pages to celebrate! It was bound to happen. Pursuing the lost plans for a Separatist secret weapon, Jedi Aayla Secura has a showdown with her former Master and friend turned dark Jedi — Quinlan Vos. Aayla and Quinlan may just well top the list of characters that help define the prequels era Dark Horse comics which entertained us and continued telling tales set between the prequel films. Just the art somewhere cloned inside of me
Something Quinlan Aayla
Even though it will always be
I pretend Duursema (this is how I feel)
I'm trapped in Jedi ways (just a memory)
Where Dark Horse is all I know (this is all I know)
And I'll never break a page (can't break free)
'Cause when I'm alone
I'm Vos in these memories
Living behind Parson's illusion
Lost all my dignity
Watching inside the clone invasion

So....that female with the two weird things hanging off her head is NOT that Ashoka chick? I like the Jan and Dan art combo!

Nope. Their weird head thingies are different. Obviously. Jan and Dan doing Star Wars for Dark Horse was a golden age for comic art set in that galaxy far away.

I do enjoy good margin directions and production notes. Dan achieved a perfect spatter.
