Description
Lorenzo Sperlonga "The Archer" painting for Skorpio Magazine Cover. c. 1996

Long lost painting resurfaced. I need to find the magazine cover to share but I have had this nearly two years now and keep forgetting to post.. The painting was never returned to Lorenzo from the publisher after publication and popped up for sale in Italy. He never had a scan to print it in a book. Hopefully it will be in his next. Crossing fingers. Got a Lorenzo to sell? Try me. I really love his art. Thank you. EDIT: Lorenzo recently published this newly surfaced forgotten gem in "Femme Fatales" 2024. Glad to have found it for him.

Approx 12" x 17"
Acrylic on paper

Signed in very early signature initial style bottom right.

Baby
I get so scared inside, and I don't really understand
Skorpio that's on my mind, or is it Italy?

Heaven
Is in the art in my hand, and it's waiting here for you
What am I supposed to do with Lorenzo's magazine?

If I chose to buy Sperlonga
Will it all remain unchanged?
If I post my art "The Archer"
Will it all remain insane?

Sometimes
It's art to arrow
So hard to hold trajectory
It isn't always what it seems
When you're face to face in dreams

You're like a quiver
And stick me in the heart
And grace the brush with your paint
And when we team, would your Archery
Bring your warm and darkened aim?
