DescriptionI’ve always been a big fan of Bryan Hitches work.. obviously early in his career as an Alan Davis fan his similarities drew me in.. but I’ve enjoyed even more seeing his dynamic penciling evolve over the years. So I’ve been looking for a great example for my collection. I wanted something that was not early in his career but not to late to miss out on my nostalgia.. so this epic DPS from the X-men Brood series of the mid 90s hit the mark! I always feel with Bryan you can tell certain scenes or pages he put more of himself into.. the epic parts of the story or pivotal moments.. and again once I saw this piece I felt that. Canonball blasting through the Brood coming right at you! Wolverine Bishop Cylcops Storm Jean etc… all battling in the smaller panels.. incredible in their own way but subtle enough not to take away from the focal point. Paul Neary inking is always a master class but he and Hitch were in lockstep at this point! Big thank you to Bill Cox for alerting me this was available from Bryan!Social/Sharing |

The brood are easily the creepiest X-Men villain for me. I always love a big DPS full of mutant goodness!

Gorgeous pickup!!! That top panel is just spectacular and shows Hitch at his best! Plus look at all the x-men characters!!! Congrats!!

Sweet DPS splash along with some storytelling panels...some of my favorite pieces :) Great example why here, and love how the energy, from Sam, is just going across the 2 boards here! Those sleazoids don't know what hit 'em. Congrats!
