Pin up featuring the Primaster

Primortals was a comic book series published by Tekno-Comix. It was created by Leonard Nimoy with assistance from Isaac Asimov.
The concept was that aliens visited Earth 65 millions years ago and saved thousand of species before natural disaster would wipe them out. Now sentient, these races are referred to as the Primortals. One such being, Zeerus, (descended from the Pterosaur species) has fled to Earth to escape punishment and he is pursued by his fellow beings led by the Primaster.
Humans, now informed of their distant cousins react in many ways including fear which leads to violence.

Primortals was an interesting concept and given its Science Fiction pedigree, I picked it up. And picked up this pin-up later as a remembrance of the series. I thought the storyline and art was fine but the coloring left a lot to be desired.

If you're lookin' for Tekno
You came to the right place
If you're lookin' Primortals
Just look right in my page

I was drawn pin it up
And talkin' facts
My story was a streamlined heart attack

Because I'm Nichols
Commision game is misery, yeah, yeah
Well, Art Nichols
So don't you Asimov with me

I never looked for Tekno
But I'm Nimoy fan
I don't take Primasters
With no kind of plan

I'm only made out
Ink brush, blood, and stones
But if you're gonna start Primortals, don't you try it all alone

I'm not a big fan of the over rendered art myself, but given the time of publication, also understandable. So sad that only a few years after drawing this, Nichold went on to steal a ton of money from fans who sent him money for commissioned work. As for the colors? Better not to comment. Though again, the beginnin of computer coloring, understandable. The crazy thing though is that the publishers were all raving about how much more amazing it was than the hand-colored work they were doing up until that time.
