How to fight Proteus?
Rile up the lines
Shine your eel 'til jellyfish
And sharpen pencil style
And when Namor's going down
Will you follow around?
That's how you fight Proteus
You stab at jelly choke
Drag your Budiansky
And fill your art with hope
And the first ink that you want
Will be the lasting Bulanadi

A very spellbinding piece with the many monstrous forms of Proteus putting Prince Namor in his place!

Budiansky spent most of his career as an editor, but he was such a solid draftsman. It's kind of a shame that he didn't draw more comics. This is a good example of how good he could be. Bulanadi's brush work is also really nice here!

Proteus certainly gives Namor the treatment with eels, a whirpool, and jellyfish. The almost-splash page draws my eye in a whirlpool fashion to the right, down, and to the left with Proteus bridging the space. Congratulations!
