Description

�He was a hero to some, a villain to others, and wherever he rode people spoke his name in whispers. He had no friends, this Jonah Hex, but he did have two companions: One was death itself� The other, the acrid smell of gunsmoke��

Rick Hoberg known for Star Wars, All-Star Squadron, The Strangers (for Malibu) a title I really liked. I remember him mostly from his run on Green Arrow. Hoberg doesn't get much love but he did some great work in comics. He did some spectacular double page spreads for All-Star Squadron and some great covers as well. A solid artist with a classic illustrative style.

Rick does a great job with a classic Jonah Hex. A lean, mean, ugly Hex with his two constant companions, death and gunsmoke!

Tight inks! Hoberg is a lot more advanced as an illustrator than the comics had us believe!

Always fun to see new renditions of Jonah Hex! Hoberg also did some nice pencilling for Alfredo Alcala's atmospheric inks on Batman.
