DescriptionOriginal cover art from Johnny Bruck (* March 22, 1921; † October 6, 1995).Gouache on illustration board. Size roughly 14 x 20 in. Cover of German Atlan episode #73, published under the title 'Das Milliarden-Projekt' (The Billion-Project) in 1973. Atlan da Gonozal is a main character of the Perry Rhodan series. Given the character was very popular, it was given its own series within the Perry Rhodan universe starting 1969. It was quite successful and the last edition #850 was published in 1988. It' a great beauty in the 70's era of science fiction with the drab color backgrounds so the characters stand out more. What makes it so unique is the characters with the contemporary 70's sideburns as fashions and styles are frozen in time to appeal to the readership.
