DescriptionEncre de Chine et aquarelles de couleurs pour une illustration non publiée.Cette aquarelle fait pendant à une autre intitulée "La pendaison" et a été réalisée vers 1948 quand CALVO illustrait "Le chevalier du feu" ou "Robin des bois". Il conserva sur ses murs jusqu'à sa mort une autre composition similaire "Le loup et l'agneau". On y retrouve la clairière au milieu de la forêt et les arbres aux racines inquiétantes.
