Description

I always chuckle when I see Mark's "prelim" pieces since most are nearly as detailed as the finished pieces. Sometimes he goes so far with the pencil rendering that I like his prelims even more!

This piece was published in his Various Drawings Volume 5 sketchbook alongside the finished piece and they are both fantastic in their own right. I'm very excited to finally add a piece from Mark's hand to the collection.

While this doesn't have the fine polish of his inks, it has the finer tonal work of pencil that can look just as rich within the normally solid fills to have more of a raw quality of an adventure scene.
