Marc Davis was one of Walt Disney's major artists - one of his Nine Old Men. In an interview given a few years before his death, Davis stated that the first animation he did for a feature Disney film was a scene of Snow White dancing with the dwarf. This extreme drawing of Snow White is from Davis first scene, and it is signed with Davis' initials (in the form the artist used throughout his long career with Disney.)
