Description
I bought this cover art directly from Steve Lightle in March 1999, not long after it was published. I ended up selling it in 2005 and I've missed it ever since. I was thrilled to see it show up in the latest Comic Art Live and I'm very happy to have it back after nearly 20 years. (Thanks to Steven Lee for taking great care of the art all this time.)

While I'm not the biggest DC or Wonder Woman collector, I really love the image, and I think the original is even more striking than the published cover. The images of Captain Marvel, Superboy and Green Arrow (Connor Hawk) were drawn on a separate board.

Steve was one of my absolute favorite artists and it was so sad and shocking when he passed away suddenly in 2021. While he's no longer with us, he did leave behind a beautiful legacy of artwork.

This is an absolute gorgeous Wonder Woman cover. I was always an admirer of Steve Lightle's art since the early 90s. As I recall, he mainly do a lot of covers. Congrats on geting it back, after 20 long years!

Lightle is one of my favourite artists of the past 40 years. This is spectacular and it's so cool that the journey it has been on has come full circle and ended up right back where it began, lo those 25 years ago! Congrats, Ted!

I thought you might have bought that one (without knowing it was yours initially). Well done!

What a fantastic piece!  Never knew that Lightle did anything with Wonder Woman--gorgeous example of both his style and the character.

Awesome!  Lightle is just a great pure illustrator, and so creative in this graphic sensiblities, bringing something new to his pieces, especially covers.  Witness exhibit A :)  Those rich inks must look that much better in person.  Congrats1
