DescriptionPage 9 from this issue has been shared in my Hulk gallery for quite a while and here's the following page, which prominently features The Thing. As mentioned previously: Herb Trimpe returned to drawing the Hulk once again for this story in Fantastic Four Unlimited #4 from 1993. Unfortunately, Trimpe wasn't getting much work around that time and he unsuccessfully attempted to revitalize his career by adopting a Rob Liefeld inspired style. Trimpe left comics after this series was cancelled, but he eventually became a fixture at conventions and did do some other comics work in his later years. This was a somewhat silly story with ridiculous dialogue, but still entertaining, and always fun to see Hulk vs. The Thing. Unlike page 9, this one still has all of the original word balloons. Trimpe is known so much for his Hulk, but man, the Thing really steals the show on this great page. And yeah, Hulk vs Thing is always a crowd pleaser.

I think if he remained a mystery and adopted a fake name with three to four syllables, they would have declared this to be the next hot title and top 10 artist in Wizard. He might have even been given the X-Men title and picked as a top 5 X-Men artist by Comic Art Fans' youtube debate.

I actually got this comic in the mail yesterday, so what timing this is! Trimpe's art was wild during this period, and I admire his courage in taking the risk late in his career.

It's funny that you just got the comic. It's definitely a wacky issue and not just the art. I'm not sure what Roy Thomas was on when he wrote this :)
I've actually got another 3 pages from the book which aren't currently up on CAF.
