Description

This issue started a new format for What If?, where instead of an alternate history, it presents a "darker" version of the Marvel Universe. And what a great match using Frank Teran’s uniquely-styled creepy art to tell a story where Jubilee gets chased around the X-Mansion by a feral Sabretooth, who has killed several X-Men forcing her to face him on her own, a-la Kitty Pride in the classic Uncanny X-Men #143. Funny that included in the printed comic was a packet of Slammin' Strawberry-Kiwi Kool-Aid mix bound in the pages.

This is very controlled art by Teran. Normally, it's more raw and subjective. This one gets the same kind of raw energy, but the framing, figures, and faces show them with clear purpose.
