DescriptionAdam Pollina illustrated this cover to Mutant X #2 featuring X-Men and X-Factor member Havok (Alex Summers) front and center battling the Fantastic Four of a parallel world. Mutant X was a series about Havok's adventures after he is cast into an alternate reality where he becomes leader of an altered version of X-Factor known as The Six. In this reality, Alex's brother Scott Summers is abducted by the Shi'ar as a child along with their parents so Alex becomes the leader of the original X-Men in his place.About the Artist Adam Pollina was a popular artist at Marvel in the 90s. He's mainly remembered for his work on the X-Men spinoff, X-Force, which he drew from 1995 to 1998. Mark Morales has been a major inker at Marvel since the 90s. Highlights of his work include the major events Secret Invasion and Siege. About Havok Havok is Alex Summers, the brother of founding X-Men member Cyclops and powerful mutant who can generate plasma blasts that he has a hard time controlling. Havok was introduced 55 years ago in X-Men #54 (1969). He's been a member of both the X-Men and X-Factor teams and is well known for his long-term relationship with his fellow mutant, Lorna (Polaris) Dane. Social/Sharing |

Thsi cover holds great appeal to X-Men fans of the time period who were on board for all the alternate reality storylines! Havok's power by Pollina's concentric circles create a great visual design in the composition to radiate power forward and backwards!

Cool. I like this one better than the other version. Havok the clear star.

Thanks! I have to agree - also this cover is more connected to the story and features the alternate FF team.
