A Tribe Called Quest Commission by Dave Chisholm

Dave is an amazing guy, a talented cartoonist, and a world-class jazz musician. I wanted to incorporate my loves of hip hop and art, and pitched a Tribe piece to Dave. He wasn't familiar with them, but after listening to their catalog for a few days, came back to me excitedly and pitched drawing the crew using the lyrics from Check the Rhime. I couldn't picture it at first, but trusted him because of his talent and the enthusiasm he had for the undertaking. I'm so glad I let him work his magic because this is a true jaw dropper. I showed this piece to dozens of artists tabling at Heroes 2024 and they all were mesmerized by it (and a little mad at Dave for doing this kind of wizardry and making them look bad, haha).
