Bloom illustration (Mindy Lee)

I've flipped through Mindy's portfolio at past shows (including C2E2 last year), but for some reason, some of her pieces jumped out this year at C2E2, and this was one of them. I love the use of colors on this- the different shades of red, purple, and pink, plus the green for contrast. And I also like the contrast between the elegant dress (with ruffles!) and the smoking gun, as well as how the woman's hiding part of her face behind a flower (all really fitting into the femme fatale theme). Mindy has a great eye for costume design (something we discussed while chatting at her table), and while more simple, this does feature some nice fashion elements.
