I have the page preceding this one here so I was really happy to pick up this page too to get a neat two page sequence. Kirkham only did interiors for two issues of this series, and I'm always looking for pages of his from it. Unfortunately not many have surfaced, so I'm excited to be able to add another one to my collection!

In this story, Kara and Helena are enjoying their last day on the peaceful Prime Earth before they head back to their homeworld of Earth-2 to join the fight against Darkseid's forces who have occupied it. While they're out, DeSaad (one of the Earth 2 Darkseid's henchmen who was also transported to Prime Earth alongside Huntress and Power Girl) attacks Tanya (A scientist who works for Kara and eventually becomes Prime Earth's new Power Girl for a little while when Kara leaves), so Kara and Huntress quickly fly over to help. In the preceding page, to get to Tanya as fast as possible, Kara decides to punch through a wall to get inside the lab, and here on this page we see her confront DeSaad who is holding Tanya by the throat.
