Description

The discovery of a crashed Jeep gives villains Lope and Napoleon something new to argue about. Lope assumes that the Jeep's deceased occupants are the two men they were chasing. Napoleon insists on taking the time to check it out further.

“Ha ha! The old man has finally kicked the bucket!”

“Who’s the other one, Lope?”

“I don’t recognize him, but he's wearing a jacket with a four-leaf clover on the shoulder.”

“Hm, it could be the pilot.”

“What do you care? As long as we're sure we've gotten Uriaga out of the way.”

“Wait. Where are Paco and Zombi?’

“Haven't you figured it out yet, amigo? They’re at the bottom of a crevasse, maybe the same one where we looked for them, wasting all that time! Let's go back to Bogota, Napoleon! Uriaga is dead, and starting today, we are in charge.”

“Calm down, Lope. We're not sure if he's really the dead man. That old man knows these mountains like the back of his hand. It seems strange to me that he died over a stupid Jeep accident. Before we go back, we need to check out those two bodies over there.”

“Dammit! We'll waste a lot of time!”

“I don’t believe it. It's getting dark and we'll have to camp. We can send two men down at daybreak.”

“Agreed. So tomorrow morning we will know whether to return to the lowlands or continue the hunt.”

“You go, Francisco.”

“Yes, boss!”

“And you go with him, Diego!”

“You guys prepare the camp. We’ll stop here.”

Now they have to stay overnight?  Did they even bring food or will this turn into a Donner Pass story?
