Description
"War of the Ghost Generals!" by Robert Kanigher, October 1981.

"End of a Battle Star! - Part 1"

Civil War ghosts General J.E.B. Stuart and Union General William Tecumseh Sherman vie for control of the Haunted Tank during the bloody slog through the Normandy hedge rows after D-Day. The Haunted Tank is an eponymous Sherman tank. Its commander is a descendant of Confederate General Stuart.

Great looking double page title splash. I love Glanzman's finishes and who doesn't love tanks?

Slam bang tank action!  These DPS' are showcases of Ayers and Glanzman's talents in pure artistry for military hardware that would shape how the human drama would play out!  This one has the ghostly Haunted Tank to combine war legend and the supernatural!

Weird War and GI Combat sometimes overlapped in subject matter.  Just such an instance.  Great DPS.
