Angel Sketch in Postmortem Art Book

Back when Post first released his artbook he produced a limited number of them with a sketch inside them, available from his website. This copy is one of them, which I acquired from a Magic collector when his interests changed.

A number of years later Post found a batch of unsold copies of the book, which he would remarque and sell at conventions; I know this as he advertised their sale on Facebook. I’ve no idea of the complexity or size of the sketches in this batch.

Shortly before posting this I discovered he had also sold copies at SDCC with quick sketches, comparable to those he sometimes does no Magic cards he signs, but slightly larger.

Feels kind of weird to me to providence the sketched editions of a book by year of sketching and point of sales, but maybe I’m just getting old.

Please note the oddity of paper color is not due to lighting or aging, but the color of the page itself when published.
