Oh-oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh-oh, oh, oh
Seems like just yesterday
You were the art for me
I used to stand so tall
I'm used to Legion strong
Your art around me tight
Everything, it felt tip right
Unbreakable, like nothin' could go wrong
Now I can't breathe
No, I can't sleep
I'm barely in ink wash
Here I am, pen and ink
We're torn into pieces
Evil eye it, painted friends
Just thought you got Watson
Broken up, Rubinstein
But you won't get to see the tears I cry
Behind these Fatal Five

Nice ink wash work. I wish we could see what the sketch looked like beforehand though.

Yes, I would have liked to see that too but I purchased this from another collector who had the Rubinstein ink wash done over the pencils.

I found the poster that was published from the pencils. Now included in additional images.

love the wash look and muted pallette, great accompanying piece to the vibrant colors of the other one you linked to (also amazing)!

This is stunning. Brilliant work by Watson as usual, and this wash gives it a truly otherworldly feel. Congratulations my friend!

I like how Watson added the giant hand holding the unconscious superheroes by their capes, which wasn't in the original painting. This amps up the feeling of hopelessness and defeat.
