Yes, this is a outstanding Rocket Racoon page! Congrats!
"Give us Brad Walker, we'll carry our racoons together
I'll throw some real estate here in my max"
So it’s Fault and Drax in escapades and this is Victor’s lines
And walked off to look for Olazaba
Victor's presence at the con was not expected for me. I was thinking I might have gotten out cheap. Then Victor and I met and it all fell apart lol. It really is a good thing though that I walked off to look for Olazaba.
For a guy who was on the verge of ending his GotG collecting not so long ago, your comeback sure seems to be landing you even nicer pieces than you already own! Congrats, man, this one is fantastic!
It was very unplanned. I basically cleared out the online market and then I expected to have long periods of time between pieces. Would have been better for the bank account if it were true lol. However, since then my art finding skills increased tenfold lol. The pieces I picked up at the con were never offered on market before. Victor seemed trully connected, but I am glad he was willing to share his artwork with me.
I need to get a Brad Walker piece soon. He's the got the storytelling and illustration chops and this is a great example. Like your other page, takes me back to the 80s miniseries, but brought to today! Good stuff, Ian, congrats!
You better move fast because there might not be much left when the dust settles lol. Seriously though, Brad is an amazing artist and I love his story telling.
Outstanding page!! Thanks so much for letting me appreciate it in person! You got a fantastic haul at SDCC, starting with this one!!!
The same goes for you Alberto. I always enjoy getting to visit with you and look forward to OAX. Maybe by then I can build another war chest.
Nice!
They should be asking Ian to showcase his GotG collection in a museum.
Thanks Derek! I sure hope it one day gets there. I would think people would like to see it, if mixed in with some nice props, interactive displays, music, and proper lighting. That, or maybe I'm just a dreamer.
Wow you got to meet Victor Olazaba! That is so cool. His inking is always phenomenal, and this page is no exception. Really great images of Rocket --- a terrific add!
Thanks Paul! He was the SDCC show hit for me. I hope to one day meet all the collected artists that make up this collection.
killer Rocket page and yet another GoTG page with some really interesting panel layouts/page design. Nice pickup Ian!
Thanks Kavi! Brad really shinned with the panel layouts in this series.
