DescriptionAfter his monumental achievement with Watchmen, Alan Moore was quoted as having said that he was “emotionally exhausted” and felt the need to create lighter fare. Following that interview, he took his leave of DC and went to write for America's Best Comics, where he wrote Top Ten, Tom Strong, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Promethea. (So glad he decided to take it easy!) Promethea ran for 32 issues between August 1999 and April 2005, and, from the perspective of someone trying to write their own book, could not have been an easy project either! So many disparate threads, all expertly woven into a cohesive whole, and bolstered by absolutely gorgeous artwork by J. H. Williams III and Mick Gray.Social/Sharing |

I'd say that Promethea must have been more complex (a read/to write) than Watchmen. Gorgeous splash.
