Description

In October 2001, Dennisse's and my first wedding anniversary was rapidly approaching, and she asked me what art I wanted (she'd already learned the stock answer to "what do you want for a present?" - "Art!"), so I realized that I had quite a few Moy pieces, but I didn't have any actual Legionnaires, so I wanted to rectify that situation. She gave me a budgetary number so I had an idea of what could be spent, and I started shopping. Couldn't find a single one at any online dealers, so I hit the various yahoogroups I'm a member of, and I hit paydirt. A fellow comicart-l member had like 10 sketches from Moy, 5 of which were Legionnaires! She had budgeted enough to buy 4 of the Legionnaires, I bought 1 of them myself, and 1 non-Legionnaire. Quite a haul! This is one those pieces that Dee bought me. Pencil on 8-1/2x11 cardstock.
