Description
Redhead Mini-Sketch

Painted in Gouache by Pernille Orum, made in 2018

This was one of a few mini-sketches that Pernille Orum brought to sell at San Diego Comic-Con in 2018. See attached photo of her Instagram post from then. I didn't buy it then, I only got it recently, but I love Pernille's art, I think her style is really lovely and she doesn't seem to sell much originals (at least online) anymore so I was happy to get this!

Copying over Pernille's bio from her website:

Pernille Orum is a danish illustrator and character designer living as a freelancer in Nairobi, Kenya. She graduated The Animation Workshop in 2011 with a bachelor degree in Character Animation and went on to both Ireland and UK to work as an animator before deciding to move back to Denmark and focus on character design. Pernille has worked with companies such as Hasbro, Nickledeon Jr, Mattel, Dreamworks, Disney publishing and Penguin Goldenbooks and she was the lead character designer on Warner Brother’s ‘DC Superhero Girls’. In 2019 Pernille had her debut as a comic book artist with Mark Miller’s HitGirl written by the movie director Kevin Smith.

Best of the bunch that was shown on the post.  The color itself will draw the viewer in tighter to look at the details of this art deco design style to emphasize contoured lines and form.
