Martin Mystère #409 (2024) p 50-51: The new maid

In the absence of his wife Stéphanie and his mistress Mitzi Kaspar, Prince Rudolf's wandering eye falls upon his new maid:

“My beloved Mitzi, your silence throws me into despair. As you know, I do not care about my father's edicts: if I wish to continue to see you, I will do so. However, I do not know what to think of this wall of yours, against which my words break. If you care for me as you have always led me to believe, if you love me as you have so often declared, then, I beg you, join me here in Mayerling. As you know, I can no longer go to Vienna to see you, since, in the city, my father's guards watch me day and night.”

(Knock on door) “Come in.”

“Forgive me, your highness.”

“Good morning. Are you the new maid?”

“I...I just started today, Prince.”

“All right. Come forward and lean over here. What's your name?”

“My name is Klara, Your Highness.”

“Then I thank you, Klara.”

From what we know of Rudolf, it's obvious where this is headed, like watching a train careening toward a cliff. The page layouts here vary from the usual grids which predominated earlier in the book.
