Cue The Lion King Official Motion Picture Soundtrack hit single, “Circle Of Life”

This is a four page sequence from indie artist Matthew Shaver from his book, The Space Boomer. His sequential storytelling here is top notch as we get a glimpse of the daily happenings on the planet Sisyphus.

As we learn on the first page, all living creatures on the planet are stuck in a time loop that has been happening every ten minutes for the last eight years. Over the course of the next three pages and a whopping 49 panels, we see just how that loop plays out and it makes for some really fun pages. We even get some creature design! I have to tell you one of my favorite panels is from page 12, panel 9. That lizard is in pure joy at the sight of growing hands. Well buddy, I am right there with ya.
