Description

This recreation of the cover from The Great Darkness Saga TBP by Keith Giffen is a solid recreation piece. It lacks some of the detail of the original, but Keith's influence is still apparent. The TPB cover was a new take on the original Legion of Super-Heroes cover from issue 294, also by Giffen.

I love Giffen as much as anyone, but this might actually have improved on the one this is a take-on. It still has that Giffen flavor to it, but tonally knocks it out of the park. Great call.

A master stroke of design to break this composition down even further by John Amor to make us focus in to what's happening even more than for the original!
