Just a great design! Kirby using pattern and design work from different cultural myths and weaving it to look modern is some of Kirby's 70's best.

This is actually by Simon and Kirby from 1955. In 1979 Joe reworked the artwork and design, including drawing a battle scene in the center of the image to further contrast the main figures. So technically this is from the 50's.

That's great to know that they were incorporating all that cultural influence of old civilizations even before it was trendy.
