Beautifully early abstract illustration from Virgil Finlay (1962) given the name “Around the Corner.” Artwork is done in marker and mixed media. Acquired at auction from the Virgil Finlay estate. Signed by Virgil and dated 1962 and measures approximately 8x10”.

So cool! In his later years, these works were less about the crosshatching realism and more about the abstract ideas where he could put his art to use in creating works of mood and thought about man's perception of the world around us.
