DARKSEID!!! - New Gods #15 p1

Alright - Full disclosure: I posted this page to my gallery several months ago. So, why have I listed it listed again??? Great question.

Just like many of the other folks on CAF, I constantly surf the various auction sites for great art and fantastic deals. Every once in a while...you can find both. Currently on Heritage Auction, there is a full-blown, final splash page of Magneto from X-Men #111, by artist - John Byrne. It is lot #92005 and the auction wraps up in 7 days. Let me just say - That page is BAAAAAD ASSSSSS. If you haven't seen it yet...I invite you to check it out. Go ahead...I'll wait for you. (WAITING) Did you notice that the current bid (assuming it hasn't changed), is at $110,000. OMG!!!!! I was certainly aware that the price of Original Art had gone up...but I was unaware that someone (or multiple someones), were willing to mortgage a small house for them.

Back to my listing - So I looked at the Magneto page...then looked at my Darkseid page (also by Byrne). Is the Darkseid page as Baaaaad Asssss as the Magneto page...perhaps not. But they could certainly be bothers (imagine them side by side).

So, I came to the realization that only one of those someones was going to win this auction, leaving at least one bidder (perhaps more) feeling left out. Well, here I am with your answer. I am offering up what I believe is a veeeeery similar page, for only a fraction of the price - $60,000.

So let everyone else mortgage their homes...sell their children or rob a liquor store in order to pay for their hobby. You can make this purchase and still be able to buy lunch the next day. It may be just a Hapy Meal...but it's still lunch.

Don't wait to find out someone beat you on the Magneto page. Pick this one up...and giggle your a _ _ off.
