I too recall Tom Derenick selling pin ups on eBay before it lead him to getting steady work in comics. Then I remember him being one fo the hottest artists in the biz for a while, because he was using a soft pencil shading style that everyone seemed to love. Great Supergirl splash, btw!
I had a dream of this very thing except there was a lot more marshmallows.
