Thor Generations: The Unworthy Thor & The Mighty Thor Issue #1 Variant Cover by John Cassaday (2017)

Beautiful cover, really like the arrangement with that split down the middle.  Was super bummed to read of Cassaday's passing today.  Fell in love with his work on Astonishing X-Men and from then on I found myself giving most anything he had a hand in a read.      

Just learned of his passing today.  So, so, young.  Such a waste.  Prayers and condolences to all those who are grieving his loss.

Cassaday provided such a great piece as he had a great appreciation for the graphic design elements of a cover that offered a heroic look as well as modern day visual appeal.  I would think that he had this image planned out, knowing how the title's trade dress would be applied. 

A fantastic piece to remember an exceptional artist. Thanks for sharing.
