X-men 1 Gold pg 3 Pat Olliffe

Fun page I recently picked up in a trade with a buddy… X-men gold 1 had a bunch of untold stories of the X-men from various points in their history. This page is from a story Featuring Sunfire and Banshee a few days before Giant Size X-men 1 … I find it interesting because these two characters while being two “New” X-men , they were the only characters that were introduced in the intial run of the original X-men . Both originally villians in the beginning … both were redeemed into the new lineup! The two characters even having similar paths really have minimal interactions so it’s fun to see them together . Pat Olliffe does a wonderful job on this page showing them battling.. even though pencil only the lines are clean and strong and that last panel of them going head to head is wonderful!
