Rough Genga for Brave Story by Hitoshi Ueda

Here are a series of cool design drawings done for Brave Story anime (2006) by Hitoshi Ueda. These would have been later worked up into full background paintings and can be seen in the first few minutes of the movie. Ueda is very well known in the animation world and has worked as a key animator on many films including Akira and Steam Boy with Otomo. I was really impressed with the technicality and perspectives captured in addition to the artistic skill.
