Good heavens!! (Literally!) A cosmic-level score here, Kit! Not only is it from an intensely all-time historic project, but it is showcases multiple fantastic examples of what Gentleman George Perez could do so very, very well. Characters, action, and rubble (LOVE panels 3&4), gorgeous star fields and even a character getting subsumed by the heavens in panels 7 and 8. I love how George stacks panels 1-4 (my favorites on this page), what he pops out, and how he does it. A signature piece, without question! And this is from issue 12?!? Isn't this the point where folks usually get tired? You go, George! You go, Kit! (And what do you mean about "poor financial decisions"? Can one really put a price on a potent, heady combo of ass-kicking and happiness? ;) ). Sincere and MAJOR congrats, pal!
