Description

For anyone who hasn't picked up a copy of the Batman/ Elmer Fudd comic that came out a few years ago, you missed a really cool book that went under the radar. Written by Tom King and drawn by Lee Weeks, the book put the Looney Tunes characters into the grittier setting of Gotham City. I was first told of the story by Neal Adams, who had not only made a motion comic of it on YouTube, but Neal supplied the voices of the male characters, including Elmer and Batman! When I first met Lee last year we talked about the book, and I told him how fond Neal was of it! Lee didn't want to part with any pages from that issue, so the next best thing was to ask him for a commission of Elmer drawn in the style of that story! His eyes lit up when I requested it. And even though his sketch list was full for Baltimore he promised that he could fit this in. I had the paper pre-printed with the Looney Tunes logo, which I've used for some of my own drawings. Lee's drawing came out Tunetastic!!!
